Under the special diligence of HEP Abdulla Yameen Abdul Qayoom 100 individuals with disabilities were awarded with employment opportunities at an awarding ceremony held at Dharubaaruge early this morning.
HEP Yameen and First lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim awarded the letter of employment to 74 new employees of Fenaka Corporation Limited. The First lady also awarded letters of handing over motorized wheelchairs to three employees of Fenaka Corporation Limited on behalf of Maldives Sadhagaath Foundation.
Employment letters to the remaining 26 employees that were not in attendance at the ceremony due to unavoidable circumstances will be handed to them by Fenaka Corporation Limited.
In his speech Managing Director Mr. Ahmed Shareef highlighted that employee appointment and works assignments were allocated based on a special skills audit conducted throughout the atolls. Managing Director Mr. Ahmed Shareef also applauded the president for his vision of an all-inclusive society where all individuals are given equal opportunities.
Folowing Managing Director Mr. Ahmed Shareef, Minister of Gender and Family Ms. Aminath Zenysha Shaheed Zaki and Station In charge of B. Dhonfanu branch Mr. Ali Faiz also addressed the ceremony.
The ceremony attended by Board Members of the company, Cabinet Ministers and members of the People’s Majlis, concluded with a video song made for the event and a recital of the National Anthem by members of Maldives Deaf Association.
